Lakota sighed, she looked up at the sky, as if it would provide some relief from the anxiety she was feeling. Sunlight poked from the sides of the fluffy white cloud drifting in front of it. :: Ready or not, I gotta do this.::
"To best confuse him, we're gonna have to run at him from several different directions. That will also confuse the healthy female. She will have to think moment to choose her target. And hopefully all we will need is that moment."
She felt like she was giving lectures, but everything the obsidian wolf was saying was important. She met everywolf's gaze, hoping she was driving home the point in their minds.
"The softest spots on a caribou are just under the jaw, where it meets the neck, and the inside of their legs. Both parts have white fur, and large blood vessels underneath."
She was deadly nervous, some of it was adreanaline, but the other part she couldn't name. She'd never felt like that before :: It's just my age, or all the horror stories I've heard about caribou.:: Lakota told herself.
"Go for the white parts, but avoid the hooves and antlers. And remember; they weigh about 10 times what one of us does. Don't try to be the hero, it will take all us to bring him down."
((So. . uhh. . .where are all these "other" wolves? Should we make them up as we go or hope that the other RPer's show up?))

Lakota nodded as Cloud returned quickly, out of breath.
"So, we need to get him surrounded, and we need to be spaced evenly. I will go straight for his head, so he'll be distracted by me. Did you get all that, Cloud?" She added, making sure all the hunting party knew what was going on.
"Alright, let's split up. And nobody charge until they see me dash at his head, then he won't have a clue what to expect!" Her plan seemed foolproof to her. A million things could still go wrong, but hopefully fate was on their side.
Lakota check through the brush again, then moved northeast, 'till she was lined up perfectly with the bull's head. The bull was blowing his tuba, making all sorts of ruckus, and the healthy female was tending to the injured's leg. He'd stirred all the birds into confused chirping, filling the air with what sounded like an orchestra warming up before the show.
She watched with faded yellow eyes, the other wolves slide into their attack positions. :: I hope this goes off perfect. The mothers could really use this meat.::
Little did Lakota know this hunt would be her last.

Keeper swished his tail and broke off from Lakota, stealthly lowering himself to the ground in a crouch, but still moving forward at a sharp pace.
Keeper winced as Lakota made her way towards the bull. His eyes were locked on her, following her every movement, waiting for to spring. She's so brave... he thought as he waited.

ooc| Le gasp! bic| Baby Pawz growled playfully and tore after a rabbit which had disappeared into the bushes. He didn't want to be left out! "I wanna hunt!" he moaned, letting the rabbit escape and looking up at Jewel with big round eyes, "I've never hunted before!"He looked around at the big wolves enviously. He couldn't wait 'til he was big. I'll be the bestest hunter there every was! the cub told himself and puffed out his little chest.

Jewel laughed and nodded, then squinted after the rabbit. She sighed and then quickly glanced around teh clearing. All rabbits had disapeared, along with Strider, although she was sure that the older cub could look after his self. Her gaze suddenly fell upon the dead carcass that Lakota had dragged over and she grinned.
"Hey. Why don't you pretend I'm a rabbit, since the real ones seem to have disapeared. Then you can eat that rabbit over there afterwards. I'll go hide and you have to stalk me. But if I hear you I'll run."
She smiled kindly and cuffed the cub lightly around the head with a dainty swan white paw.

ooc| Okies!
bic| Baby Pawz growled playfully and attempted to bit the she-wolf's paw as she cuffed him.
"Ok, but you better watch out 'cause I'm the bestest hunter!" he growled again and charged at Jewel, adrenalin(sp!) rushing through his tiny body. He would show Lou's sister not to mess with him!

((Lakota's not brave. . she kinda straddles the line between brave and straight out stupid. . .kinda like me!))
She listened to the other wolves, or tried to over the bull's bellowing. She thought she heard all of them slip into their spots and then wait. :: Here goes.:: She squeezed her orbs tightly, hoping everything would turn out well, then opened them like two full moons, with pupils.
From her tense position she sprang, black chassis shooting across the ground at a speed even Lakota didn't think she was capable of. She was a black dart, running straight at the bull. The bull was caught mid-bellow, and turned one muddy brown eye on her.
Like a flash he was running at her, solid steel-like antlers sweeping in front of him, aiming straight for Lakota. :: Wow, they are fast!:: She dodged his first blow, barely. She didn't lose any speed, just twisted and dodged to the right. She felt the wind from his rake, and could smell the scent glands from his hooves. He turned to chase her, on a dime it seemed.
Now the healthy female was alerted. She was concerned, but didn't appear to Lakota to be leaving the injured's side. :: She probably thinks I'm alone and I just want the injured one.:: And that was true, the healthy one did think Lakota was alone and trying to take the injured femme. Caribou think wolves are cowards. The black she-wolf altered her course to where the bull would have to slow down or risk hitting his companions. The healthy female squared herself, blocking Lakota' current path to the injured fae. Then she pawed the terra, sending grass and roots in the air.
Lakota realized that she'd just put herself in a bad situation. Antlers were running at her from behind, and antlers were at the end of her path. ::Uh oh.:: She slowed a bit, turning sharply, but the male was on her tail, she could feel his humid breath in her fur. ::I hope the others are coming!:: She thought.

Cloud raced along just behind Lakota, auds pinned back, a wicked smile on her face. She bared her ivories and howled at the big male, hoping to distract him enough to get to the injured female.

A howl of agony escape Keeper as he watched Lakota tangle with the Bull.
"Cloud, the bull! Leave the injured alone!" He barked as he noticed her body language revealed that she wanted the weak one.
Keeper's adrenline reached it's point as he watched the scene unfold. He growled, his paws flying over the terra as he reached top speed, flying towards the male.
The Bull, his full attention on Lakota, didn't see Keeper rushing him.
Keeper collected his agile frame and leapt at the bull's well muscled hindquaters. Keeper growled, branished his daggers and sunk them into the bull's back. He clung there, teeth and claws, as the bull whirled and bucked, trying to throw him.......

Lakota heard Cloud howl, then run for the injured female.
"No!!" She barked at the other she-wolf."The bull, the bull, go for his neck, get him bleeding! That's the only way he's gonna lose any of his strength is to bleed it out!" She yelled frantically, still running from the behemoth.
Then she heard another wolf approach, and chanced a quick glance back to see Keeper spring and lock his jaws on the bull's haunches. The bull slowed to a quick walk, and was giving Keeper the ride of his life. :: Gotta help the alpha! If that bull throws him, who knows what will happen?!::
Lakota turned, panting heavily but managing a great speed; back at the bull. She was aiming for his great girth, his soft underbelly. ::If I bite him just right, it will spill his innards.:: She thought.
While she was turning to help Keeper with the bull, she had forgotten completely about the healthy female. By now the doe had realized the wolves were going after the bull, her brother. She grunted to the injured female, who had settled to her knees, and snorted loudly before charging at Lakota's back, her smaller but still deadly antlers pointed at the black wolven.
The male noticed Lakota from afar, running at him. He swung his massive weight around, waiting for Lakota to get too close, and then he could use his hooves to crush her, or break her skull.
Heedless of this, or the fact that the female was charging her from behind, she closed the gap between them, and lept straight for his underbelly. Her razors made contact with a lot of fur, but not enough flesh to do any damage. She instantly let go, and tried to dash under his chassis, but he had other plans, and a well timed swipe from a back piston caught Lakota hard in the ribs.
She skidded from her momentum, vocals giving a sharp squeal, and sliding across the grass. The air had been knocked out of her, but she thought she was okay.
The female caribou did not see this take place, and inadvertently collided rake on with the male. She punctured his side, and threw his balance. The bull roared, great cranium thrown in the air, exposing his full neck.
Lakota saw this, and struggled up, her side was blazing with fire. She had barely caught her breath and yelled to the others "Now! Now! Get his neck!"
She made a feeble dash, but soon realized one front pillar was injured :: It must have twisted under me when I slid on the ground:: She tucked the injured leg and ran as fast a she could with three legs to the bull.

As the bull crached to the ground, Keeper lost his hold on him and fell hard to the ground. An agonized cry escape him as the pain overloaded his brain.
But Keeper's adreninline didn't let him slip into unconsiousness, but made his senses more acute. He felt the blood pound into his orbs and saw Lakota running full-tilt towards them, three-leggidly. Keeper closed his orbs, then launched himself up.
The bull began to rise, and Keeper saw his chance. He growled lowly and leapt, his daggers sinking into the white flesh as the Bull rose from the ground.......

Cloud skidded to a stop, and turned around at Lakota's cry. She instantly took in the situation. Clooud flattened her auds back again and rushed at the bull. She tensed her pistons and leaped, a beautiful, soaring arc towards his neck. She encountered tough skin and instantly latched onto his neck with her ivories. She worried at it with her teeth, tore at the skin, and dropped away.

The female caribou swayed a bit, disoriented. After ramming the male with her full power behind her, she had one heck of a concussion. Her cranium wobbled to and fro, and front pillars shook. She emitted a confused grunt, muddy eyes unfocused. She was out of the count for now.
This Lakota noticed while running back at the male, who was getting to his feet with Keeper attached like a piece of hanging jewelry to his neck. Cloud had ripped a gash in the bull's weakest point, and crimson rivers ran through the white snow of his neck fur.
Still he wasn't giving up just because of a little blood. He had adrenaline ripping through his system and though Keeper's weight was overbalancing him, he managed to return to all fours. He could not bellow; for Cloud had ripped something in his throat that made breathing harder and talking impossible. To make up for it, he reared like a horse, kicking out with front pistons and swinging his head. Drops of blood flew everywhere.
The midnight colored femme with yellow orbs saw her chance to take him down again, and get Keeper in a safer position. She turned left, as fast as she could with a dead piston, and aimed right for the bull's ankle. Her daggers sunk deep into the ligaments above his hoof.
In response he lifted the leg, an automatic reaction. Lakota released her grip and looked up to see what he was doing, and too late realized he'd overthrown his weight. In a moment too quick for a reaction he crashed down, all 700 pounds of anger, muscle, and antlers, on top of the lead hunter. A pained squeal echoed in the clearing.
((She's not "dead" yet. I still have a little bit more. I thought of all this at work.))

Cloud heard Lakota's squeal and swiftly made a u-turn. Her orbs wide, she took in Lakota's predicament, to put it lightly.
She flew towards the bull, screaming as only a wolf can. She bent her pistons and flew to land hard on top of the bull, knowing it would hurt Lakota more but there was no other way to do this.
Cloud bared her ivories and unsheathed her daggers, ready to do her kind of battle. She jumped to the bull's throat and ripped at it again and again. He had to die, and fast. She ripped and tore as Keeper did the same. She tore the flesh, ripped blood vessels, severed tendons, and cut at the muscles.
The bull was getting weaker, she knew it.

Keeper once agian was slammed into the ground as the Bull fell, but he didn't lose his hold. Lakota's squel echo'ed in his thudding brain nad it made his clench his teeth harder.
NO!!! His mind screamed as Cloud raced towards him and ripped savegly at the bull. His mind was elseware, on the poor fae trapped beneath the bull.
He growled and let go of the bull's neck momentarily, then savegly attacked his neck again, this time adjusting to where the bull's windpipe layed. The bull's blood began to leak out, marring the Earth in crimson steams.
