A broad shadow fell across the entrance to the Second Cave, flickering and dancing in the now fading light of the approaching evening. It danced further into the depths of the cave, while just behind it appeared a large male wolf. Deepest black with a white blaze splashed sloppily across his chest.
Bullet padded forward until he was just inside the cave, then turned and settled on broad ebony haunches. Forst green eyes were dull and expressionless, plume static, as Bullet Scarlet waited for the three newcomers to arrive.
------------------
Trotting a few tail-lengths behind the black and white scout came a slight femme, her pelt a mix of different shades of red, along with small flecks of black and white. She haulted outside the cave and looked over her shoulder, smiling at the wolf following her. Then, she turned back to Bullet and dipped her head.
"Thank you, M'lord. Is this it?" She enquired respectfully, plumed tail beating the ground behind her.

The snow and sand brute, capped with charocoal followed the red fae just as she had followed Bullet. The black male stopped, turned, and sat; still radiating a melocholy aura. Carmine paused at the entrance to the cave, smiling again at Bandy, who returned the smile, but she had now ducked in the cave. Frustrated, he shook his head, pinnae flopping madly, then continued in on white mitts.
The mexican wolf checked behind him to see if Hurricane was still there, then reclined to leave more room for the last wolven to enter. He felt a bubble of sadness or something of the sort coming from their guide. In the dimly lit karst formation, Bandarra's grey orbs slid all around the floor, the ceiling, the other wolven; to rest on Bullet. He favored the other brujo with a curious look as Carmine thanked him and inquired as to whether this was to be their resting quarters.

Bullet nodded and forced himself to smile. It's not ther fault that their guide is an absolute idiot who's fallen for a female that can't choose between him and another. He thought bitterly, this thought, instead of cheering him, whiping the smile instantly off his face.
"Yes, this is it. Make yourself comfortable, and welcome to the moors." The male tried to force another smile, but this time the curve did not even adorn his lips. A loud sigh was emmited and he traipsed past the small group of newcomers, head and tail drooping, and padded down the slope, soon vanishing into the foliage.
---------------
Carmine watced him go with an expression of confusion and sympathy etched deep into her features. She then turned to Bandarra, wrinkling ehr nose quizically.
"What do you think's wrong with him?" She asked, her head tilting to the side.

The grey wolf-dog loped up behind Bandarra, lagging behind slightly. Her ears flickered to and fro as she stopped at the entrance of the cave and stood at the mouth. She side-stepped as Bullet whisked past her and cocked her head to one side.
Whuffing through her jowls, Hurricane stepped into the cave, where Bandarra and Carmine were already getting comfortable. She cocked her head in their direction, and for a time busied herself inhaling the scents on the damp air.

((Bullet is lovesick. . .awwww!))
"Eh. . .huh?" Bandarra's grey eyes flicked to Carmine. He had been watching Bullet leave, and absently noticing Hurricane sniffing the air. Her nose was crinkled, and Bandy thought the look was funny, but refrained from laughing. Bullet's sombre attitude and bland expression still lingered.
"Oh. . .I dunno." Bandarra played stupid at the subject, but secretly guessed that Bullet probably liked a fae that didn't like him back or perhaps they'd recently had a fight. " He's probably just grouchy all the time!" :: Like that beta. . .I'd bet they'd get along perfect.:: He silently added.
His attention was now focused on Hurricane, the other fae in the cave with them. What a motley crew they were, one red wolf, one mexican wolf, and one wolf-dog. Hurricane sniffed about, seemingly unaware of them. Bandy broke the silence between them. "So. . .where are you from?" He asked this a little louder, the words echoing in the cave; directing them at Hurricane. His visionaries flicked to Carmine once again, back to Hurricane now.

ooc: Lol. Yeah. Poor Bullet. -huggles- bic: The slight red wolf giggled as Bandarra first spoke, sounding confused. She nudged him playfully, her eyes dancing as if she were teasing him. When he spoke to Hurricane, she too turned to the femme, cocking her head quisically. ooc: Arrrrgh! My posts are /awful/ at the moment.....

"Hmmm?" Hurricane said, ears perking fort a moment until the right one flopped back over. She cocked her head and trotted over to the two wolves before settling back on her haunches. "I never really was from a pack, and I never learned the name of the place I came from. It was a long way from here, though. But I never settled down in one place; always moving around. Never had a real pack until now." She looked slightly uncomfortable as she spoke, shifting on the cool stone. "But I guess....I guess I'm from just about everywhere."

" Yeah, all of us are kind of a long way from here." Bandarra agreed, smiling at Carmine and Hurricane in turn, noting how Hurricane's ear flopped over much like a dog's.
With grey eyes, he noticed that the newest of the faes didn't seem entirely comfortable as she settled to recline. Just like with Bullet, he wondered if it had anyting to do with a significant other, as that had the tendency to make any wolf moody.

Carmine smiled kindly as the female Huricane finished her short explanation, nodding in agreement with Bandarra. "Yeah. I'm from a long way away too..." She said, her words trailing off as her maw streched into a wide yawn that displayed rows of powerful canines. Blinking drowsily, she slowly closed her jaws and ran a tongue over her lips.
"Well, I'm tired. I think I'm gonna have a sleep." She said, turning to the wonderful darknes of the depths of the cave. She trotted slightly deeper inside, stopping as she reached a small alcove in the cave wall. She crawled ito this and curled up, tail wrapping neatly around herself. Her eyes slowly flickered shut and she drifted into peaceful sleep, a small, dreamy smile alighting upon her lips as she dreamed of the days events and the meeting of Bandarra, whom she had grown quite fond of.

Bandy was not tired in the least, in fact he was bursting with energy. Something about being in a new place with new wolven stirred his energies, whereas it seemed to have made Carmine a little on the exhausted side. He watched as she yawned, then found a nook to curl up in. Grey eyes turned back to Hurricane :: Is she gonna go to sleep too?:: He favored the wolf-dog with a curious glance. Though he had developed a soft spot rather quickly with Carmine, he didn't see any reason why he couldn't keep watch while both of them slept.
They were all unique, all had interesting stories and had traveled from a distance. Knowing this, he picked up one snow mitt and replaced it quickly, clicking his claws on the smooth rock floor. His gaze at Hurricane was expectant now, as if he assumed she would go and curl with Carmine.

Hurricane blinked back at him, one ear flopped over comically. "Well. I guess I should rest. I'm just so...I dunno, excited, I suppose," The wolf-dog said. She extended her forepaws until her was stretched out on the cool rock. She was indeed rather tired, and knew she needed to rest before she started her new life as a wolf of Misty Moors. She rested her head on her forepaws, staring at Bullet for a moment. Her eyes wandered into the shadows of the cave, and a rather distant look came over her green orbs.
ooc: Meh. Sorry this took so long, between dog trials and school...

As Hurricane settled herself, Bandarra padded to the mouth of the cave and promptly flopped down. Charcoal and khaki auds stood at attention and his clear grey orbs studied all the scenery from his vantage point as guard. A few times he thought he heard a wolf run close by, but he never was too sure. . .for even though he didn't feel it, his eyelids grew heavy and he slipped into a peaceful sleep, dreambox resting on tundra mitts.
What a good guard he was.

Bandarra startled suddenly. Maybe it was a flea, maybe it was a dream. Nonetheless he realized he'd been sleeping instead of watching over the two faes. Optics shot open, snow dial turning t'ward the two that were in the other realm of wolven life for the mo'. :: Well at least they didn't see me sleeping!:: He reassured himself, picking his charcoal and sand chassis up on glacier pistons. He appraised both femmes, plume giving the slightest of sweeps.
Bandy was amazed that a pack of wolven in the north would be so accepting of three wolves from completely different backrounds. Then his stomach gave a large growl, and he remembered that it had been a long while since he'd eaten. It was when he partook of the Caribou in the ceremony to honor the lead hunter that had died to provide the pack with that meal.

The soft rustling of Bandarra's fur moving as he stood floated backwards into the depths of the cave and intruded rudely upon Carmine's dreams. The rust-red femme stirred, murmering softly to herself. Her eyelids fluttered, and she gave a groan, resenting being dragged from sleeps warm embrace. But she was awake now.
Auds perked, eyes opened slowly, and Carmine rolled onto her front. She blinked hard several times, adjusting her dark occuli to the light that was streaming in through the cave entrance. Her blurry vision locked onto Bandarra and she gave a sleepy smile, which soon evolved into a wide yawn.
"'Ello." She said, getting slowly to her feet and padding over to the entrance, where she seated herself beside her friend and gave him a nuzzle. "Thanks for guarding us." She grinned mischeviously as she eyed his ruffled fur and slightly bleary eyes. Have a nice sleep? She thought, cocking her head to the side.

" Oh. . .no problem. . . He returned her nuzzle affectionately, seeing that Hurricane was still asleep. :: I guess she didn't know I fell asleep!:: Bandy thought smugly and decided to keep that thought to himself.
Then he caught her eyes roving over his appearance, realizing that he didn't lick his pelt where it was matted down or sticking up in places, all evidence of having fallen asleep. She didn't say anything, but when she met his grey gaze, he hastily added "And all that guarding made me hungry!", now grinning and white banner waving. As if to prove that he was telling the truth this time, his stomach growled slightly.
