The sound of a hoyous howl floated upon a warm evening breeze into the depths of the First Cave. The sound caused a pair of wolven ears - brown, rimmed wth silvery grey, to twitch. A single mahogany eye flicked open, followed soon after by it's double on the opposite side of a slender brown muzzle. Cotton yawned widely and stood, shaking her pelt roughly before seating herself 'pon small haunches.
Her auds perked once more at the sound of fast moving pawsteps, swivelling round to face the mouth of the cave, alert and listening. She noticed Cloudshadow and smiled, trotting up and seating herself beside the white femme, jaws parted, tongue lolling. Her gaze was fixed 'pon the bottom of the slope, where a figure had just emerged from the foliage.
Taint rocketed up the slope, releasing a series of joyous barks. She skidded to a hault before Cloudshadow and Cotton, a broad grin spread across her face.
"Keeper! He's back!" She panted, and her daughter leapt to her feet.
"Daddy's back? Really! Oh, mum! That's brilliant!" She exclaimed, doing a tiny jump, her plume waving excitedly. "Where is he?" She enquired, staring hopefully up at Taint.
The she-wolf grinned and nodded back down the slope. "He's just coming, darling, and he's got a friend with him." Cotton followed her mother's gaze to the bottom of the slope and waited, a picture of puppish innocence, plume thrashing furiously, paws twitching, eyes wide and round.

Soft footsteps floated up to the top of the slope, carried on the same breeze that had alerted Cotton of her mother's arrival. Both the alphena and her daughter strained their eyes, staring at where the sounds came from, and Cotton took a step forward, tail wagging harder than ever,
"Ohhh!" She groaned, planting her rump 'pon the ground and scowling as Jewel appeared. Taint cuffed her daughter lightly round the head with a single fore-paw. "Now, Cotton. Jewel's important, too. Your father will arrive in time."
Turning hr attention to the bottom of the slope, Taint wtched Jewel approach. Finally the white femme came to a hault before the brown alphess and bowed respectfully. "M'lday." She said, glancing over her shoulder to check that Jacindam was still following. "I have a newcomer with me, wishing to join the Moors. Her name is Jacindam."
Taint nodded as the white wolf finished her explanation and grinned broadly. Yet another newcomer! The departure of Stagg had deeply sadenned the femme, and for a while she had thought that the pack may fail with her and Keeper leading it, and when Keeper himself had disapeared she had become very nervous. But now! Newcomers were flooding to the Moors, and her mate was back! Everything was returning to normal.

Jacindam followed the white wolf closely, giving a curt bow to the alphess that stood ahead of her. "Pleasure to meet you, Miss. I see that Jewel has already spreaded around my coming," she said, an image of innocence and good-being.

Taint smiled kindly at the femme, Jecindarn, then turned to Jewel, laughing as Cotton scampered between her legs and cowered beneath her. Her cub was shy around strangers. "Thank you, Jewel, for leading Jacindarn to me. I will take it from here." She said warmly. Jewel nodded and gave another bow, before turning and loping back down the slope to disapear into the foliage.
Swivelling back to face Jacindarn, Taint smiled. She stooped and dragged Cotton fro beneath her, lifting her into the air by the scruff and placing her inside the mouth of te cave, where she ushered her inside with a forepaw. "I'll tell you when your father comes." She promised, and Cotton scampered into the dark recesses of the First Cave.
"Greetings, Jacindarn." Said the alphess, turning back to the mexican wolf. "What brings you to the Moors?" Settling upon slender russet haunches, Taint awaited the femme's reply. She would get to know Jacindarn before accepting her.

The she-wolf smiled slightly at the alphess' actions to treat what seemed to be her pup and Jewel. She lowered to her haunches delicatly, wrapping her tail around herself. A soft smile was on her face, welcoming and happy. She had worked on this expression for a long time, and believed that she now had it perfected. Ears perked as the question was asked.
"Too many things to be honest, Mi'lady. The views, the excitment your pack seems to gain, the particapation, but most of all the fairness the higher ranks apply to the ranks beneath them," Jacindam told in a solomn, truthful tone. That was all she needed in a pack, that was also what she wanted.

Taint nodded slowly as the femme spoke, features pensive. Hehe. The old flattery trick, eh? She thought to herself, grinning. Her eyes danced as she stared at the many hued canine, taking in everything, the sweet, innocent exterior was the first thing Taint absorbed, and she nodded approvingly. But there was something beneath the cover-up, a slight vanity that caused the alphess to cock and eyebrow.
After a moment, she nodded decisively. The female may have seemed a tad full of herself, but everyone had faults, and other than that she seemed fine to the alphess. "Thank you, Jacindarn." She said in answer to the she-wolf's apraisal of the pack. "I think you will be an asset to the pack." A smile alighted upon her lips and she leaned forward to lick the wolf 'pon the crown, marking her acceptance into Misty Moors.
"Welcome to the moors!" She said brightly, leaning back and studying Jacindarn, eager to see her reaction to the knews that she now had a new pack.

She smiled broadly, rising quickly to four feet. Tail swayed happily side to side, and her rigid body stance showed that she was quite excited. But her bottomless eyes showed nothing, not even a flicker of satisfaction that she had finally recieved a pack. "Thank you, alphess," she said excitedly, black eyes meeting with Taint's. She didn't yet know the alphess' name, but decided not to ask. She knew that she'd find it an insult if someone came up to her and bluntly demanded her name. She rested back on her haunches, tail still hitting the ground but with less effort.

Taint smiled and inclined her head. Jacindarn's dark, impenatrable gaze made her slightly uneasy, but she held it none-the-less, as a sign of dominance. "Please, Jacindarn, call me Taint." She said. "After all, you're now a member of the pack, and it must be an awful mouthful calling me 'alphess' constantly, huh?"
A grin formed upon her muzzle and she tilted her head to the side slightly, asking the femme if she agreed.

"Pleasure to actually meet you, Taint. And yes it is quite a mouthful," Jasindam agreed, nodding her head. She was unsure what to do next, wether to stay close to Taint until she dismissed her. Even if she was dismissed, she would know what to do. She kept her confusion behind a mask of joy, not quite liking others having to tell her just what to to.
||Blah, that was awful. ||

Taint smiled and nodded, her plume twitching suddenly, a sign of impatience. Where has Keeper got too? She wondered, cocking her head. Shrugging, she turned to Cloudshadow. Keeper was a big wolf. He could look after himself.
"Cloud, could you please show Jacindam to the Second Cave?" She said, gesturing with a single forepaw t'wards the newly accepted pack member. Her gaze flitted to the space between the white female's head and shoulders and Taint's eyes widened.
She had only just noticed Aki and Corwin, and a blush instantly settled upon the skin beneath her thick pelt. Clearing her throat, she skirted around Cloudshadow and stood before her brother.
"Aki! I'm sorry! How long have you been waiting here?" She exclaimed, reaching forward to lick the brown and black hued brute upon the maw. "I just got back from a run.... and, oh! Keeper's back, Achilles! Really, he is!" She exclaimed, her features lifting, eyes brightening. "Isn't that just /wonderful/?"
Taint's plume began to sway quickly, whipping up a small breeze behind her, she glanced at Corwin and gave a nod of welcome, before turning her gaze back to Aki once more. "Who's your friend?" She asked brightly, cocking her head to one side.

Achilles had waited to introduce Corwin, through Taint's return, and his conversation with CloudShadow. He noted the new fae, and mentally placed her so as to remember that she was pack member for later.
He licked his sister in return, chocolate plume lowering, but wagging still. "I was wondering where Keeper had gotten off to. . ." Achilles trailed, wondering when he'd seen the alpha male last. He couldn't help but feel happy, and his eyes brightened at seeing how happy his sister was that her mate had come back. At the same time he felt a bit sad, since Lou had disappeared. :: But I have to move on. . .::
Then he remembered Corwin was with him. " This" He paused, dipping his ebon maw in Corwin's direction, "Is Corwin. I accepted him into the pack and knew it was only right that you should meet him, sis."
He had a restless feeling about him now. . .he felt like he just needed to be alone, but as beta he needed to be around for the formalities of introduction. Instead of just darting off like he wanted, he too sat down like Taint; sighing as he did so, his mismatched orbs clouding over as Cloud left with the new fae to show her to the second cave. He missed Lou, and though he knew he was acting a sulky pup about it, it still bothered him.

Corwin felt a little put off as he was ignored by Achilles. He didn't say anything though, just watched patiently as the Alpha Female ran in and started conversing with some other wolves. And wait, when did those other females come it? The wolf felt his head spinning with talk about keeper, newcomers, mates, and who knows what else. His ears flicked with annoyance, and his brows came together over his eyes. He hoped this wouldn't take long...Oh! There, Taint was looking at them. Next this he knew he was being introduced the alpha. He looked at her for a second before replying.
"Yes. Hello there Taint. I am pleased to meet you. I should hope I am not a bother to you here, It seems there is something important at hand....," he trailed off.
He suddenly realized he was the only one standing. Somewhat self-consciously, he sat down and smiled slightly.

Panting slightly, two large figures, one raven brute, the other the color of storm clouds made their way to the First Cave side by side. Remembering who he was and his position in the pack, the grey wolf raised his head and tassel high with the confidence only the Alpha Male could possess. His ice-blue pools searched for a split second, then located the streamline- athletic shape of his beautiful mate, Taint. Nudging a faster pace from the black brute, he galloped gracefully to the den and took his place by the Alpha, licking her cheek affectiontly, his eyes obseving each wolf in turn.
"Let's see. Alot of new members, but so many familair faces... The grey brute thought fraticly as he put each face with a name.
There's Aki, the beta, Taint's brother. And Cloud. The grey alpha know as Keeper thought. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
From the depths of the cave a small soul of coal hue stirred from the attack of sleep. Gently, the small pup stirred, opening his orbs of yellow gold. A sharp scent stirred as he opened his small mouth and exhaled a great yawn, exposing several small, but razor sharp daggers.
Quizzically, the pup raised himself to his feet, shaking himself clumsily to remove the powered dirt from his fur. He squinted at the opening of the cave, where Cloud obstructed his view from the world outside. But the ebon pup knew what the smell was.
"Aapa?" The pup questioned to himself as he moved closer the the cave.
Blinking steadily as the golden rays of the sun reached his eyes, the pup squealed in glee as he located the one with the smell, for their scents were simular.
With a running leap, he leapt over Cloud and landed clumsily to his feet. Scrambling upward, the small pup uttered a small howl of his own and leapt on his father's tail.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Keeper, lost in thought, was startled by a weight and several small teeth savenging his tail. With a startled growl, he spun and was face to face with Solo, Keeper and Taint's small son.
"Solo! My son! You scared me!" Yelped Keeper as he licked the pup hard, sending him sprawling.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
From the bottom of the hill watched Raif silently, his auds pressed flat against his skull. The raven and brown brute looked away, disgruntled.
"Lucky Brute." He growled silently as his orbs treaded over each wolf, studing the members of his new pack.
ooc-Ugh, writer's block for Raif.... Sorry....

Taint smiled and was about to reply to both Corwin and her brother when Keeper suddenly appeared beside her. She turned and nuzzled him fondly, pausing for a moment with her head buried in his grey fur, breathing in his wonderfully familiar scent. Then, she lifted her head to look at Corwin again.
"Hello, Corwin. I am glad to have you in the pack. I am, as you already know, the alpha female. This," She turned to Keeper, a broad grin spread over her maw, eyes sparkling with delight, "Is Keeper, my mate, and the alpha male."
Taint started as Keeper suddenly whirled around, and craned her neck to see over his shoulder, a frown creasing her brow. When she saw the two pups that clung to his tail and leg, she laughed. "Solo, Cotton!" Her reprimand was ruined by the fact that she was still grinning, and that her voice held an unmistakable trace of humour.
Cotton strained her eyes as two figures appeared at the bottom of the slope, and her breath caught in her throat as she noted that one of them was a stormy grey colour. Eyes widening, her plume ceased to wag and she frozed as the silver figure approached.
Suddenly, as Keeper reached the top of the hill, and almost at the same time as Solo realised that his fatehr was back, she released a joyous yip and flung herself at her father, nuzzling his leg fondly and batting at it with a dainty paw.

ooc| Gah, need an excuse for why Lou vanished! ;D
bic|
Drat, I've lost him! A frustrated snort was emmited as a chalky female halted in her tracks and surveyed the surroundings with frowning brown occuli. The First Cave was in sight and the sounds of celebrating reached the flicking audits of the femora.
Lou cocked her pale face to the side, wondering what was going on and why she wasn't invited. Plume flicking curiously, she began to trot towards the den, a wave of scents greeting her as she neared the cave mouth. She hesitated suddenly, knowing that this cave was only supposed to be for higher-ranking wolves. But a sudden yelp of excitement left her jaws as the familiar aroma of the beta male filled her nares and all hesitations were forgotten.
There he is! she thought and her gait quickened. Something else suprised her; Keeper was back.
Gingerly, Lou poked her head into the first cave. She tried to take it all in. More members! Her plume thumped 'gainst her back pistons. It was always exciting, meeting newcommers.
Then she spotted him and a smile tugged at the corners of her mouth.
"Hello again," she said, softly, as she made a beeline towards Achillies and plonked herself beside him.

The emotions of the deep earth and midnight brujo were mixed as Keeper returned, orbs once again reflecting icy shards within the depths of the green and blue as they respectively were. At the same time, his cranium was attentive, and banner sweeping the terra, happy for the reunion of two mates, and happy for a father to once again see his offspring.
Farther away from them Aki noted for a split second a brute that had walked in with Keeper, but was now keeping away, and had turned his head at the sight of the happiness the Alphen was exuding.
Disappointed at the same time was the beta with the black painted mask and odd eyes. The fae he had developed a soft spot for. . .had vanished. He knew he should get over her, and fully intended to, but was having trouble doing it. And her leaving was the reason for his cold gaze and lack of patience with other wolven.
As with Raif, Achilles too had seen enough of this happy scence. He wasn't a spoil sport, just lost in his own thoughts was all, and wished to be alone. Windows flicked away, and just as he did so, a white streak flashed past his orbits. :: Eh. . . Cloud. . .or Jewel. . .:: He didn't consider that he'd just seen them both on the opposite side of where his black dial was pointing.
Again the beta brujo sighed. Maybe talking to that other brute who seemed to be staying away from things would help. Standing, Aki made to take a step in Raif's direction, but was startled out of his fur by the sound of a familiar voice. "Hello Again" The voice spoke as Achilles heard the shift of weight on the loam beside him.
Auds zoomed back instantly, and Aki jumped as if a bullet had hit him. But plume was dead as a rag and all of his muscles tensed as if he were frozen. :: I've got to be hearing things. . .is this normal? When you miss a wolf you think you see and hear them? Maybe I'm going nutty. . .::
Yet, against his better judgement his maw turned slowly, sea green and then midnight blue eye lighting on a fae he'd not seen in a while, save for his dreams and illusions. Night hued dial parted, half in shock and half to speak. "Lou. . . .?' The ice had evaporated from his eyes to be replaced by the warmness he felt for her, reflected easily now that she was in front of him. Plume gave a tentative brush against the air. He wasn't sure he was seeing what he was seeing.
