An earth hued form, dragging something slowly worked it's way t'ward the cave in which the drama had taken place. Charcoal auds heard snippets of conversation, nares informed the brute that it was his mate within the stony feature, among others.
Mixed orbs glanced around, gaze tinted with regret. And anxiety. :: She won't want me back:: He thought, jaws unclenching the small doe he had taken down while he had left. :: I'm a coward, not worthy of a mate like her. She gets pregnant, and I leave. I was scared. I'm afraid I won't be a good father. . or a good mate. . .:: He creased his brows at the doe, laying there with a hollow look in it's dead brown eyes . :: I didn't even say goodbye, I just left. I'm a jerk.::
He hung his shadow maw, shutting his eyes, and shaking his head. :: I'm the worst father in the world. I wasn't even there for her to have her pups.::
The beta male was afraid of rejection. He was deathly scared that the mate he'd come to care so much for and then leave her, would not want him back. :: She has the pack to take care of her. . .why would she still want me?::
He opened his eyes, averting his gaze from the doe he'd brought for her to eat, to help her strength. :: I'm a failure. I'll never find anyone better than her. . . I was so stupid to leave. I was never that scared in my life. . .::
The beta brujo's thoughts continued as he sat outside the cave, mentally kicking himself. He was too scared to come any closer, afraid to leave. So there he sat.

Hedwig released a little squeak as Jewel cannoned into her, sending her sprawling across the floor. She began to laugh in excitement and leapt to her little feet, about to spring at Jewel before she caught sight of Ghost and another male standing near the cave mouth. Emitting another squeak-like bark, Hedwig bounded over to her mother and buried her face in Lou's fur.
Afisch, curious at what had startled his sister, also got to his feet and, being slightly bolder then Hedwig, went over to investigate. A new, rich scent overpowered his nares as he looked upon the dead deer, making him sneeze. Brown occuli then gazed up at Achilles in wonderment and Afisch realised that this earthen-hued adult had the same coloured eyes as his sister Hedwig. Releasing a yip of excitement, Afisch turned on his heel and charged over to the small white bundle curled up next to his mother, wondering how to let Hedwig know of his news. He began barking continually.
Lou Scarlet gave Afisch a lick across the skull.
"What is it, dear Afisch?" she asked, giving him a small nudge with her nose. She watched as her son turned once more and scurried over to where both Ghost and Aki sat, his white plume wagging.
"Achilles!" Lou exclaimed happily, wanting to dash over to him like Afisch had done. However she decided against it because three of her children were still curled up beside her.
The chalky femora then realised the expression on her mate's face and she felt unsure of what to do next.
Hedwig heard Afisch barking and raised her head, mis-matched visionaries landing on both males once more. This time, wanting to show her brother that she was not a chicken (what ever that was), Hedwig padded confidently over to Ghost and Achilles, dial held high. As she took a step out of the cave toward Aki, she stared at him defiantly as if challenging him to say she was a coward.

Achilles surveyed the scene before him. ::She had 6 pups, goodness. . .:: His mouth went dry, his tougue like so much sandpaper in his maw. As Afisch ran toward his mate, she looked up at him and exclaimed his name.
But she stayed there. And she didn't say anything else. Aki's stomach clenched even tighter, she didn't need him. She was just being friendly. :: I messed up so bad. . .I hate myself. . .:: He looked down again, this time to see a perky little female pup stepping from the cave. A pup that had the same eyes as himself. The look in her eyes was much like the look in his when he was dealing with a lesser wolven.
He jumped to his feet, backing up a few steps as if there was a higher ranking wolf coming through. He was scared, scared of his own pup. :: What? What am I doing? She's too young to be out of this cave. . .::
Then the fatherly part of him kicked in. "Should you really be outside of the cave? There are a lot of big, bad wolves out here" He puzzled over her, he didn't know her name. Something else he was kicking himself about, he didn't get to pick any names. :: Well, if I wasn't there, then I don't deserve to name any of my pups. I trust Lou did a good job of that.::
Then it hit him again that she was still there. . .there to reject him, to tell him that he wasn't there for her when she needed it so he should just be gone. Mismatched gaze flicked back to her again, the swan white femora who so patiently carried his pups while he ran. She so good naturedly took care of them, while he behaved so cowardish.
His crania sunk low, auds sagging, plume brushing the loam. He couldn't meet her gaze. He couldn't even muster any words, for all that came out was "Uhh. . . ."

Ooc| Flynn and Robynn ^^ I've posted descriptions of them
Bic| Hedwig's chalky audits flicked. The large male had said something but she was too young to understand. She knew, however, that Achilles was not threatening her in any way and so she began to trust him. Hedwig released a small yip and c-ocked her head.
Lou looked down at Flynn and Robynn sleeping soundly by her side. She wanted to talk to Achilles but her cubs could get cold without her there.
"Bullet," she said softly to her brother, "could you keep Flynn and Robynn warm for me while I go to talk to Achilles?"
The white femora knew that Ghost was also present, but it was her brother she trusted most.

Bullet looked up sharply at the sound of approaching footsteps. His emerald eyes narrowed as he squinted at the cave mouth, then a smile spread across his muzzle. Sitting their was Achilles, Lou's mate. Bullet was glad that at least one of his sister's loves had returned. In his eyes, Achilles was worthy of his sister. Ten times better than October.
The ebonite and chalk brute turned to Lou as she spoke, emerald eyes sparkling. He dipped his head in agreement, reaching out a paw to gentley usher Robyn, Flynn and Phoenix - who had returned to Lou's side - towards his dark stomach. Then, he carefully curled his large bulk around them, keeping them warm.
---
While her brother slept, Jewel continued to explore. Her nose twitched as she took in the alien scent of Achilles, and her azure eyes brightened as she turned towards the cave entrance, where the chocolate and ebony brute was speaking to her larger cousin, Hedwig. Jewel barked a friendly greeting to the brute, tongue lolling. She made to run towards him when her attention was caught by Ghost. A cheeky smile spread across her maw, and she lowered herself into a crouch, making her way towards the massive ivory brute.
In her mind, Jewel was stalking silently through the shadows, undetected, graceful. In reality, however, she simply scampered clumsily towards Ghost, bobbing in and out of her crouch. When she reached him, she hurled herself at his head with a yip and grasped his ear - which was as big as she was - in her jaws. A playful growl trembled in her throat as she gave the creamy aud a shake, sapphire occuli filled with laughter.

"Thank you," Lou whispered as Bullet took the three cubs. She then rose slowly to her feet, her legs numb with disuse and made her way towards the cave entrance, giving a little chuckle as she witnessed young Jewel pouncing on Ghost.
Afisch yipped in excitement as his mother began towards Achilles. He bounded along beside her, leaping up to try and grab her ear like Jewel had done to Ghost.
Lou laughed again and batted her son playfully away. "Hello Achilles," she said softly as she reached the Beta Male, a small smile gracing her muzzle. Once more she was unsure what to say but decided to make an effort anyway. Her occuli caught sight of Hedwig and she had a sudden flash of inspiration, "I'd like you to meet your cubs."
Afisch gave up on his mother; she obviously wasn't in the mood to play. He focused instead on Hedwig, who had turned her attention to the dead deer Achilles had brought and was nosing it curiously. Taking his chance, Afisch leapt at her, grabbing her ear but being careful not to bite hard.
Hedwig squeaked in suprise and wriggled around beneath her brother's weight.
"Hedwig and Afisch," Lou grinned, gesturing to the two cubs who were now a flurry of white and brown. She then turned her white dial back towards the depths of the cave, "and Bullet is currently with Robynn and Flynn ... the other two cubs are Jewel's, she ... died in childbirth," Lou hung her head as she remembered her sister's last moments on earth.

Ghost closed his eyes contently as the pups interacted. He was about to drift off into slumber when a sharp scent filtered in, a scent of an intruder.
Ghost's head snapped up, daggers exposed, but he quickly sheathed them when he recognized the scent and the intruder's postition within the pack.
The Beta. Lou's mate. The direwolf thought. He had never met Aki.
Ghost laid his head down once again, quite content with the fact that Lou's mate had brought her food. He closed his eyes.
But once again, he felt another presence coming towards him. But before he opened his eyes, he could tell it wasn't that big of a threat. He opened one eye and seen that one of the pups was creeping towards him.
Ghost yawned, but yawn was cut off prematurely and the pup leapt and grasped one of him auds in it's tiny teeth...
For once, the large brute felt powerless. He felt a growl rise up in his throat, but quickly surpressed it, looking up at Lou.
Gently, and wincing slightly, Ghost pulled his head and aud back away from the pup's grip. When his aud was free, he looked down at the pup, nose slightly curled in annoyance. Reaching out with a huge paw, he pushed the pup towards Bullet distastefully.

Jewel's teeth remained clamped arund the aud for a moment as Ghost pulled away, and she was lifted into the air, tiny limbs flailing. Then, her jaws sprang open and she fell back to earth with a soft bump.
But the tiny pup was undeterred. She was on her feet again in a second. Her lips pulled back in a playful growl, and she lifted a paw to bat at Ghost's muzzle when his large paw suddenly pushed her onto her back, towards her uncle.
Again, Jewel was unfazed. She simply bounced back up again with a shrill giggle and scampered clumsily back towards Ghost. For some reason, his reluctance to humour her filled her with an even stronger desire to play with him, and she was soon back at his paw. She rose into the air, then slammed her miniature forepaws onto the ground, her rump in the air, tail wagging, in an action that clearly stated that she wanted to play. Her sapphire eyes shone as she gazed up at him, grinning broadly.

Ghost looked down at the pup. Once again, she bounded back over to him, rump in the air, wanting to play.
"Oh Geez." Ghost growled, rolling his violet orbs in annoyance. He got to his feet quickly, picked up the entergetic pup by the scruff of the neck, and deposited her uncermounously(Sp? my spelling sucks today) back over to Bullet's side.
Ghost sighed and returned to his spot on the floor of the cave, just out of the entrance. He sighed and laid his head back on his paws.
(ooc- Ghost has no idea what to do.... He's a glutton for punishment!)

Jewel giggled again as Ghost grasped her by the scruff, squirming and wriggling as he lifted her, attempting to crane her neck upwards, her tiny tongue flapping in an attempt to lick her new 'friend's' muzzle.
She soon found herself, once again, at her sleeping uncles side. Deciding that the whole 'go to Ghost, try to stay, get carried back to Bullet' thing was actually quite fun, Jewel yipped playfully and bounded forwards again. This time, when she reached Ghost, she pushed herself into a jump, aiming at the gruff wolf's back. Her chest and forelegs made it, but her hindquarters did not, instead flopping against Ghost's side.
Her hind-pillars scrabbled against his white fur, and she was soon nestled between his shoulders. A triumphant bark escaped her lips, and she began to paw at the back of Ghost's skull, giggling her delight.

Ghost's attemt at resting failed as one orb opened to see the pup crouch.
Oh geez. Give it a rest pup! Go to sleep! He thought, rather annoyed at the pup's antics toward him.
He closed his eyes, but opened them in panic as he felt the pup half land on his back. A sharp whine of annoyance escaped the large 'wolf and he rolled his eyes, trying to see what the heck the pup was doing up there.
Soft pads carressed the back of his skull and once again, Ghost growled his annoyance. Tilting himself to one side, the pup rolled off his back, sliding down his silky fur and ploppping back to the Earth.
With the hint of another growl of annoyance, Ghost picked the pup back up by the scruff and deposited her back to Bullets side. He looked at her sharply and uttered a gruff command.
"Stay!"
Grumbling, he turned his back on her and flopped back down to his spot and closed his eyes.

Jewel gave a startled yip as Ghost rolled to the side. She tumbled off him, landing in an ivory heap. Before she could get up, Ghost lifted her by the scruff and carried her back to her uncle.
Jewel giggled up at the male as he told her to stay. She didn't really understand the words, but it was obvious he was getting flustered. This made the small cub even more eager to play with him.
"Hah!" She barked, bounding forwards as he turned and pouncing on his thick tail. She laughed, rolling onto her side and clasping it to her chest.
ooc: LMAO! Poor Ghost.

Ghost looked at the pup from his reclined position on the floor, her tail tucked tightly, as if he would pounce on it.
Ghost rolled one violet orb and seeing that the pup was at least not jumping on him, decided to close his eyes and try to rest...
Little did he know that that would be the worst thing to do in this situation...

Jewel pushed her face into the thick fur of Ghost's tail, giggling as it tickled her cheeks and nose. However, once she realised that Ghost was ignoring her antics, she got to her feet and trotted to his face, tilting her head and staring at him with wide azure eyes.
His own eyes were closed, and Jewel yipped sharply. Then, she stepped closer to the large wolf's face, lifted her tiny paw and batted rapped him sharply on the muzzle. A giggle escaped her lips, and she pranced backwards, watching Ghost for his reaction, chest lowered in a playful crouch.

Taint padded slowly up the slope towards the sixth cave, her head lowered in respect for the deceased Jewel's siblings, and for Jewel herself. She could identify Lou sitting just outside the cave, and as she neared the top of the slope, her brother's scent washed into her nostrils.
Her heart leapt in excitement, despite her sadness at a pack member's death. She had not seen Achilles in a long while, and had begun to feel quite concerned for him.
Her heart sunk again as she realised that the scent was old and fading, and she sighed. Perhaps her brother had left the Moors? She couldn't understand why... he had just had cubs, he had just gained a wonderful mate.
Perhaps it had all been too much for him? Aki had always been an easily overwhelmed male.
Taint's amber occuli rested on Lou as she reached the entrance of the cave, and sympathy swept over her. She knew how to lose a mate, but, thankfully, hers had come back. A small, sad smile flitted across her features as she remembered Raif - the wolf who had brought her love back to her.
Deciding to put off visiting the cubs for a while to talk to the beta female, Taint padded softly over to her and offered her a smile.
"Hello, Lou. I hear you have had pups. Congratulations. You must be very proud," Taint said softly, smiling. Then, she sighed.
"I have also heard of your sister's passing. I am very sorry. If there's anything I can do..." She trailed off, then leaned forwards and licked Lou's maw in a comforting gesture. "The whole pack is here for you." She said.

Keeper padded softly behind his mate, his head high, his nares flared, constantly checking the air for scents that would prove to be a danger to the precious life within the cave.
His sharp gaze scanned the area and he smiled softly. Nope. Nothing. Safe. He thought, a smile broadened his features. Maybe promoting Ghost to Main Guardian was a god idea after all. His sheer size and appearence would be enough to make any wolf think twice.
But not Eclipse. But Ghost took care of that thankfully. He thought as he stopped at Taint's side and listeded in.
The news of Aki leaving shocked him a bit, but he just shook his head. Poor Brute... But, another beta male cannot be chosen instantly... It's Lou's choice this time, not ours. He stood squarly beside his mate and smiled at Lou warmly.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ghost sighed and rolled over onto his back, rubbing his ichy back into the dirt. The sound of footsteps approached and he rolled over to see the aplha pair had came to the cave.
He got to his feet and shook himself off. But instead of greeting the alphas, the arrogant brute circled, and plopped back down in the dirt.
He had been instucted to watch the pups. And here was where we was going to stay.
Jewel yipped as Ghost began to move, rolling over on his back to writhe strangely in the dust. She tilted her head to the side, then released a short, loud laugh at the brute's strange antics.
Ghost got to his feet, and Jewel yipped again, staring up at him, stumpy tail thrashing madly. He began to circle, and, after a moment, Jewel Lou Scarlet copied him, turning round and round, increasing in speed with each twist until the world was a blur of colour, speeding past her sapphire eyes.
After about a minute of spinning, Jewel stopped suddenly. The Sixth cave tilted dangeroulsy from side to side and the ground rocked beneath her feet. She skittered to and fro, legs crossing over as she attempted to stay upright. But, in the end, her dizziness brought her crashing to the ground.
She landed in an ivory heap, and buried her head in her paws as the world continued to spin and sway.
Meanwhile, both Bullet and Phoenix were waking from sleep. They both lifted onyx craniums, one a miniature version of the other, and both streched their muzzles into wide yawns, displaying rows of large - and, in Phoenix's case, tiny - teeth.
Bullet saw Phoenix out of the corner of his emerald occuli and turned his head to the young pup with a broad smile. Phoenix stared up at his uncle for a moment, then snorted a high-pitched snort and turned his head away, laying it grumpily on his paws and staring at the trio standing in the mouth of the cave.
Lou's occuli were fixed firmly on the ground infront of her. What was going on? Achilles had been here only a moment before but ... then he'd disappeared again. And he had looked rather uncomfortable ...
The white female released a sigh.
Hedwig, the ivory cub, was also confused. Silly males, she thought padding up to her mother.
"Mother ..." she said softly, gazing up at Lou with her mis-matched visionaries. Speach was coming to her and her siblings thick and fast over the past few days. Hedwig was quickly learning new words.
The Scarlet female looked down at her oldest female child and managed a smile although Hedwig's eyes, so familiar to those of Achilles, caused tears to brim.
"I'll be ok, Hedwig," she replied, suprised at how calm her voice was, "we'll all be ok ..."
She shook away her tears as she spotted the Alphess up ahead. Remembering formalities, Lou gave a bow whilst she listened.
"Thank you greatly, Taint ... but I don't think there is anything you can do ... Achilles has vanished and I don't know why ... our cubs ..."
Lou closed her lids, a tear sliding down her cheek. She didn't know why she was allowing her worries to tumble from her mouth. Surely the Alphess had more pressing problems ...
Hedwig's gaze hardened suddenly. What was wrong with her mother? Who had caused her mother to look so ... sad? Hedwig brought her eyes down and focused ahead where she saw Taint and thought suddenly of Achilles. Her father. Had he caused the pain? She would have to find out.
Hedwig whirled round and marched back into the cave where her siblings were dosing. She saw Jewel and Ghost but pushed any thought of play from her mind. She had business.
"Fish!" she barked, startling the three snoozing cubs.
"Whayawant?" mumbled the eldest male, his fur also white but with patches of brown.
"I'm going to find that male and ask him why he made mother sad!" announced Hedwig, determination flashing through her voids. "Are you coming?"
Afisch blinked, "Huh?"
"Oh never mind!" Hedwig spat, "Robynn, Flynn will you come?"
Robynn, the all borwn female and Flynn the all black male both gazed at there sister before saying in unison, "No."
"Fine!"
Hedwig whirled round once more and stormed backl towards the cave entrance passing Ghost and Jewel once more. Jewel was her friend, right?
"Hey Jewel, you want to go on an adventure?"
