-The dry leaves cracked under each soft step he took. Crescent Moon had followed the scent of the wolves from the deserted village, his nose searching restlessly to contain the sweet fragrance of the strangers. He was not afraid of trespassing and the retaliation he may face--he knew he might be met with bared fangs and hostility, but it was a chance he was willing to take to try and gain sanctuary here. He would show the upmost respect, but he was no fool to think he would be welcomed in pack territory with open arms.
His eyes caught sight of the large cave, its mouth a cavernous maw that both intimidated and welcomed. He stopped here, many yards away from its entrance, and inhaled deeply.
There. They were in there.
He uttered a low whuff, and tucked his tail between his legs. It was awkward, to see such a large male behave in such a way, his nose lowering slightly to further show his submission. Uttering another, louder gruff whuff; he waited for any response from the wolves within.
